0-1

The very beginning

  • Emotional Wellbeing

Babies develop core strength and coordination through rolling, sitting, crawling, and standing, alongside rich sensory exploration. We ensure that the environment supports and responds to their physical development needs.
  • Early Communication

Growth in attention, listening, and first responses through eye contact, sounds, gestures, and simple words. A gentle tone of voice, calm pace of speech, and a loving attitude are key to supporting this process.
  • Physical Development

Development of core strength and coordination (rolling, sitting, crawling, standing), alongside sensory exploration. We make sure that environment is supporting and answers the needs of physical development.
  • Curiosity

Babies begin to notice, explore, and respond to their surroundings, showing early curiosity and interest in learning. We ensure the environment is rich in resources to nurture this curiosity every day.
1-2

First steps in social development

  • Emerging Independence & Self-Care

Toddlers begin to show autonomy by feeding themselves, making simple choices, and trying things on their own. We provide support when needed while encouraging growing independence and self-confidence.
  • Language & Communication Growth

Toddlers experience a rapid expansion of vocabulary, begin to use simple sentences, and increasingly express their needs and feelings. We nurture this growth through constant interaction: talking, singing, rhyming, asking simple questions, and offering many simple, supportive responses.
  • Social Awareness & Relationships

Children begin to engage in parallel play, show awareness of others, and start to share or take turns with support. We guide them in making friends, sharing, playing together, and using appropriate language—the beginning of a lifelong journey in social development.
  • Physical Development & Coordination

Children continue to develop mobility through walking, climbing, and running, while improving fine motor skills such as stacking, using utensils, and scribbling. At Paddington Park, we support movement by providing ample time and space for active exploration.
2-3

Growing confidence

  • Increasing Independence & Self-Confidence

Children start managing personal tasks like dressing, feeding, and tidying up, and begin making simple choices. At Paddington Park, we encourage independence while offering support and guidance when needed.
  • Enhanced Language & Communication

Children form longer sentences, ask questions, follow simple instructions, and start to express ideas, thoughts, and feelings more clearly. We foster this through conversations, storytelling, singing, and responsive interaction.
  • Developing Social & Emotional Skills

Children engage in more cooperative and imaginative play, take turns, share, and show growing awareness of others’ feelings. We support them in forming friendships, resolving minor conflicts, and understanding emotions.
  • Advanced Physical & Motor Development

Gross and fine motor skills progress through climbing, running, balancing, drawing, and manipulating small objects. We provide plenty of space, activities, and opportunities to strengthen coordination, confidence, and control.
3-4

Foundations of learning

  • Early Literacy & Communication

Children begin to recognize letters, develop early writing skills, and express ideas clearly in speech. At Paddington Park, we introduce “Education Starts Here” activities, supporting early writing through fun, hands-on exercises and storytelling.
  • Emerging Numeracy & Problem-Solving

Children explore simple math concepts like counting, shapes, and patterns. We encourage this through playful activities, practical problem-solving tasks, and interactive games that make learning meaningful.
  • Curiosity & Early Science

Children show interest in discovering how things work, exploring nature, materials, and simple experiments. We nurture this curiosity with guided exploration, sensory activities, and age-appropriate experiments.
  • Social Skills & Emotional Development

Children participate in cooperative and imaginative play, manage emotions, take turns, and develop empathy. We support these skills through group activities, role-play, and guided discussions about feelings.
  • Physical Development & Coordination

Gross and fine motor skills continue to advance through climbing, running, drawing, and manipulating tools or toys. At the nursery, we provide ample space, equipment, and activities to strengthen coordination, confidence, and control.
4-5

Confidently prepared for school

  • Early Literacy & Writing Skills

Children read simple words, write short sentences, and communicate confidently in speech. At Paddington Park, our “Education Starts Here” program strengthens writing and reading through guided activities, storytelling, and creative exercises.
  • Numeracy & Problem-Solving

Children work with numbers, shapes, patterns, and simple calculations, developing logical thinking. We provide playful math challenges, counting games, and practical problem-solving tasks to make learning engaging and meaningful.
  • Scientific Exploration & Curiosity

Children explore cause and effect, nature, materials, and simple experiments, asking questions and seeking answers. We encourage curiosity through hands-on science activities, investigations, and outdoor exploration.
  • Arts & Creative Development

Children express themselves through drawing, painting, music, dance, and imaginative play, developing creativity and self-expression. At the nursery, we provide rich opportunities for art, music, and role-play, nurturing creativity alongside learning.
  • Social, Emotional & Cooperative Skills

Children manage emotions, show empathy, cooperate in groups, and develop leadership skills. We support social development through teamwork activities, role-play, and guided discussions, preparing children for school life.
  • Physical Development & Coordination

Children refine gross and fine motor skills, including balance, coordination, drawing, and cutting. We provide ample time, space, and activities to enhance control, confidence, and overall physical readiness for school.
Growing Together Through Food

At Paddington Park, mealtimes are more than just eating - they are moments to connect, care, and explore together. From sharing meals to planting, growing, and cooking food in our fun cooking classes, we help children develop healthy habits and enjoy family-style rituals around the table.

Parents can choose between a packed lunch box or meals delivered by our trusted supplier. To keep all meals healthy and balanced, we kindly ask families to follow our Lunch Box Policy.
Arabic Language and Culture

Arabic language and culture are an important part of our main curriculum. We value and respect the rich heritage of the UAE and ensure that our children experience it every day. Through engaging lessons, songs, stories, and playtime, children explore Arabic language and culture five days a week, developing appreciation, understanding, and connection to their community.
Afternoon Time
at Paddington Park

Our main curriculum finishes at 2:00 PM, after which children can join our Afternoon Club. Here, we offer a wide range of engaging activities to support arts, sports, creative thinking, and much more—ensuring that every afternoon is full of fun, learning, and discovery.
